Garrett just turned 7 months old and is officially on the move! He's been working on it for a couple of months now. Starting at 5 months old I'd see him on the video monitor practicing in his bed. He'd get up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth. It made me laugh thinking that he was practicing in private so that he could surprise us all one day with his new skills! :)
Then as he turned 6 months he started doing this funny headstand ...
He figured out how to get himself into a seated position and would also do this really goofy hop-crawl where he would stand on his head and hands then jump his legs forward. (see the video below)
Then he did it ... got his arms and legs moving all moving in the same direction and he was off! My other boys both started with an army crawl, but Garrett started off on his knees right away. Of course, he does have lots of motivation to move...
Here's Garrett -------^ Here's where all the action is ------^
He wants to join the party!
The other things Rett is working on ... Getting his 5th tooth!! And just the other day he pulled himself up to standing! He hasn't done it since so it might have been a fluke, but this is one determined little boy!
Here's some videos of our little guy...
